We currently have the post of Assistant Curator (Maritime Museum) available.

The Two Museums One Vision project is an exciting development for National Museums Liverpool  which will play a significant role in the overall 10-year masterplan to reimagine the iconic Liverpool Waterfront site. We are working with our communities to reimagine and reinterpret the collections for Maritime Museum and International Slavery Museum creating new galleries and new ways to discuss our collections and the city’s history.

The Assistant Curator will play a central role in the creation of a high-quality visitor experience for the Maritime Museum and be part of the team creating new galleries exploring Liverpool’s maritime stories. The post will work as part of the Maritime Museum Curatorial team to document, record and update collections information and supply this to the gallery designers and project team. The Assistant Curator will also work with colleagues from across National Museums Liverpool and community partners to develop content for the new galleries in the museum.

This is a unique opportunity for someone with the passion, energy and dedication to join our team in a role that is critical to building relationships and trust with community stakeholders and developing the new Maritime Museum.
